Such a beautiful accomodation, loved the stay and would return again. The streets are narrow so the taxis/ cars can only drop you at the closest side street, not at the front door. There were easy-to-understand printed instructions in both in English and Japanese for the appliances and other amenities. "We love our stay at Kazueya! It gave us a chance to truly experience the ryokan and how locals live. We especially enjoyed the peaceful night in our surroundings :) In addition, one of the staffs (a young lady) at Pacific hotel was super helpful. Due to the language barrier, she helped me to get bus tickets to shirakawago and to Takayama. I can't thank her enough for that! Overall, we are very satisfied with our stay and I've already rated Kazueya 5 stars on Expedia!"

"For the price this was more than worth it. Excellent location 2 mins walk to Omicho market and many buses to the train station, the various chaya districts and Castle. Breakfast buffet was varied and plentiful. As typical with most Japanese bathrooms, there is a powerful shower and YES it has the latest TOTO !! (you will know what I mean if you’ve been to japan LOL)"

"The hotel smells really good when you walk in. It’s spotless. I had booked a larger room meant for four and it was beautiful and quiet. They give you very nice amenities and the public bath is a great plus. I woke early and it was empty both mornings. The staff is helpful. The pajamas are nice. I would stay here again and rent the big room. If you are vegetarian there is no breakfast option. "
