"Actually good value if you accept the tatami style bedding. Only problem is that going out of the room to the shared toilets and showers can be freezing as the common areas are not yeated. Hotel looks old. But it was in the centre of Ina, and had good free parking. Room we got for 5 pax was relatively cheap."

"We dropped our bags in the morning to hold until checkin. We asked about the local bus, & the one man who spoke English said the ONLY way to ride the bus was to buy a 2-day pass. A few min later when we went to tourist information @ the station, we learned you could pay per ride, which is what we wanted. The next thing was checkin @ 2:25pm. "The house itself is beautiful but all around it is extremely badly taking care of. The yard is a mess, the grass high, and just next to some run down green houses. Some kind of a huge computer was making a terrible noise when we arrived, the owner allow us to turned it off thankfully. Could be a wonderful place to stay "

"This Ryokan was amazing! It was doable on the trains though it i out of the way of major cities but that is the point. Very relaxing and the osen was amazing. Would recommend this to anyone wanting a traditional experience. Also the food was fantastic!! "

"広大な敷地にある素敵な日本庭園と藁ぶき屋根の母屋がとても印象的です。わずか１１室のみですので、静かにのんびりと過ごせます。チェックインをするためだけの空間など、少しもったいない感じがありました。思いっきり和の空間ですが、お食事はフレンチ。美味しかったですが、なんとなく和食の方がしっくりくる感じがします。上諏訪は酒蔵も多いですし、地酒とともに味わう和食というのも魅力的だと思います。外国人の姿もちらほら見かけましたので、和食も食べられるとポイント高いと思います。スタッフの方は皆さんにこやかで、優しくとても心地よい時間を過ごすことが出来ました。"

"Staff were great, especially Yoko as she spoke English and was able to help with requests. One source of stress was having to pay in cash if you elect to pay at the accommodation. This should be made clear when booking. We would have happily paid by credit card in advance had it been made clear. No one from overseas carries that kind of cash. The ryokan should be encouraged to adjust their "rule" and take credit cards."

"Stayed in a traditional room with a private Onsen for two nights. Really enjoyed the atmosphere and the staff were friendly to us. The public bath was gorgeous and the private Onsen in our room was so special. Only complaint was our wifi didn’t work, otherwise we had a splendid time."

"Genuine and 5* Ryokan experience. Food was excellent (although they did not check dietary preferences / needs and so I could not eat the set menu they provided). Beautiful setting in the mountains. Would have loved to stay longer. "

"The staff provided excellent service. The hot springs were beautiful and relaxing. Both the dinner and breakfast meals were plentiful, served in a nice semi-private setting, and offered items that were unique. My only complaint is that there was an unpleasant smell in the area. I believe may have been sulphur from the hot springs. It was not only at the property, but also at other places we visited in the area."

"I am writing to express my thankfulness for the hotel staff. I accidently left my passport behind. They delivered my passport to my hotel in Matsumoto after my checkout. I got my passport back and I could continue my trip well. I must writing to thank them again and again. Also the hotel is nostalgic, caring staff, delicious food, good location close to Taisho lake and beautiful scenery. Kamikochi bus stops are right in front of the hotel. Amazing indeed. "
