"Stunning property in a newly restored old house. Beautiful, spacious and well-appointed room. The common areas were comfortable and there was a lovely balcony. The breakfast which was beautifully served on the balcony was beyond compare. Local, fresh, and delicious Cretan treats. Archanes is close to Heraklion and the palace of Knossos and had plenty of dining options. We were in Greece for three weeks and our night at Carpe Diem was probably our best stay. "My husband and I have both traveled internationally but neither of us have ever experienced the type of gracious and considerate hotel staff. Each and every one we encountered was amazing. This was really proven when my husband, who has heart problems, had to be taken to the hospital. They arranged a car to take me (while my husband was in the ambulance) and deliver both of us back home upon release. This was our first visit to Crete, for our 30th anniversary and we could not have been more pleased with our accommodations. "

"We had an excellent 6 nights at Lato. The property is very well maintained. Someone is always cleaning! The breakfast is delicious with MANY items from which to choose! Staff is quick and attentive. We ate a few times in the hotel restaurant. Our meals were excellent. The wine list is short but selective and reasonably priced. The wait staff were highly attentive and professional. Their thoughtfulness added to the positives of our meals."

"We stayed at Agapi Beach Resort from 27/10 to 03/11/24 for the third consecutive year. This place never fails to disappoint. Beautiful hotel complimented by the fantastic staff. The accommodation is lovely and cleaned thoroughly every day. The food is lovely and varied each day. As you walk around the hotel the grounds are immaculate with an array of trees, bushes, plants and flowers. Numerous pools dotted about. The beach is two minutes from the main complex. Beach towels provided every day. There are different places on the complex to eat. We can’t praise Agapi Beach Resort enough. Just something about the place that just makes us want to go back every year. Hopefully we will again in 2025. "
