Mulheim District, Cologne hotel rooms at the Independent

"We stayed 3 nights in Koln to see the sights. The hotel is very closed to the Dom, shopping, the altstadt etc. Very good restaurant options nearby. Dominakaner bar on the corner was a very fun time drinking bier with the locals. "

"The hotel is new and very clean. The facilities are nice and have a fun feel. The staff are all friendly and fluent in English and German. I left a valuable item in the safe and they were very helpful in finding and returning it for me. It is also convenient to the central station. I am always happy to stay here. "

"This hotel exceeded my expectations - spacious and clean room & bathroom. A kettle is provided in the room with complimentary tea & coffee. Big wardrobe and mattress was comfy. I could not hear any noise from other rooms. The free breakfast is fantastic!! Train station just 2 minutes walk and stores inside are open long hours or even 24/7. Great value for the price. The only one problem was the noise from the front street - the trams come by every 5 minutes from early morning till late at night. So request a room on the back side of the hotel. "
