"Although an historic property the Inn has been updated and we enjoyed a clean, well appointed room right down to a sound machine to ensure audial comfort and improve sleep! Freshly baked cookies and caramel apples greeted us in the foyer and a detailed and spotless coffee and tea bar was just outside the guest rooms. The custom breakfast served in the main inn was excellent. Warm scones, rich coffee, French toast with Vermont maple syrup and perfect eggs with sautéed baby spinach in front of a fire listening to Miss Simone and other classic jazz vocalists…..simply heaven Cannot wait for another opportunity to return. "

"We stayed only one night, though, eager to return! Madbush Falls totally impressed us … rooms are hip, spacious, comfortable and well-equipped especially unique was the in-room beverage station (pour over coffee was awesome). The restaurant was hopping upon arrival and as soon as the GM knew we were guests he made sure we got a table. Menu was creative and absolutely delicious. Wishing we could have stayed for Sunday Brunch & Bluegrass music, and we will absolutely take advantage of a plunge in the falls next time. Sounds like the property is seeking to expand their offerings, which are already exceptional and satisfyingly eclectic. This is an authentic upscale base camp for biking, hiking, leaf peeping and of course ski season. "

"We had a fantastic stay at Mad River Inn with Brandon and Suzannah. Breakfast was incredible with a sweet and savoury option every morning. The game room is a lovely extra. The location is great with easy access to Stowe and Waterbury close by with great restaurants. Our room was comfortable and cosy - a fantastic place to stay for a weekend away"

"The place is beautiful with river running behind property with several fire pit. Property does sell fire wood so no need to try to look for stores who has them. I would definitely recommend to use the fire pit, the scenery is gorgeous but be careful especially during fall theres lots of dry leaves around the pits that may catch fire. The room is very clean with nice sheets and clean towels and has adequate kitchen equipment to use if you are planning to do light cooking. Theres no staff in sight but they are very quick to respond thru text msgs if you have any requests, I loved Avery who helped us when we needed to change the room we booked. She was very quick to respond and eager to help us. I would definitely use this lodge again for people who worked at the property and the beautiful scenery and the atmosphere. "
