Awesome hospital and staff. Very easy to navigate. Use a hotel with shuttle service as parking is blocks away or they have vallet parking for $8 for the first hour.
It is a lot of walking. Wear your most comfortable shoes. Your feet and shins will thank you. You can get anywhere you need in the sub level. If its nice out, use the street level. The Mayo buildings are so much easier to get to on the street level. :)
The Mayo Clinic campus is massive. All the staff is awesome. You can ask any one for help and they will send you in the right dirrection. Get a wheelchair for your loved one if they have trouble walking. The main hub is on the subway level. All the walking to the appointments was in the underground subway tunnels.
Takes only 8 minutes to get to Mayo from the hotel.
We could take care of our appointments at the Mayo Clinic and reach the Kahler Inn and Suites all without going outside by use of their underground tunnels.
