"We had prepaid. When we arrived to the property we thought we had booked, there was no record of our reservation. The contact phone number on the reservation was not accurate, it was some guy's personal number in Los Angeles. For Hotels/Expedia Help, had to first go through AI Chat, then some unhelpful chat with a guy named "Christian" who disconnected me without my problem being resolved but did give me a "1-800" number to call. The call was awful, had to go through many unrelated menus before finally being asked to start inputing my data which I didn't readily have available and I gave up. Finally, through a stroke of luck, was able to discover our reservation was instead at a timeshare management company at a different location that was incorrectly using the name of a building they didn't own in the Hotels.com listing, and after we drove up there, they tried to charge us again though we had already paid weeks in advance."
