"Enjoyed my two-night stay at The Alan. The room was spacious and beautifully designed. Bed and sofa both really comfortable. There were some ups and downs with the service - breakfast on our first day was borderline shambolic, though on day two it was great. Our room was not properly cleaned (bed was made but tea/coffee not replenished and bins not emptied). This was made worse by their ‘WhatsApp the reception desk’ concept where we then asked for the tea/coffee to be replenished, were told...

"Absolutely lovely hotel, the receptionist that checked us in was super lovely and accommodating. Only down fall was our hallway neighbours were really loud and the phone in the room didn’t have a reception line and we couldn’t leave the room as we had a 2 month baby with us that was struggling to sleep due to the noise!"

"we stayed here for the laughterama comedy festival at castlefield bowl and it was perfect. The hotel literally overlooks the bowl and there are so many of Manchesters best places to see, restaurants, bars etc within 10-15 minutes including the science and history museum across from the hotel. The room we stayed in was huge and super clean. The beds were extremely comfortable. "

"Great open space for socialising with a bar, restaurant, pool table and TV's. Small area with kids toys to entertain the little ones too. Most of the staff were freindly, with only one member of staff telling the kids to keep the noise down. That was the only annoying thing, as there were no other guests present other than our party of about 15 people, so I'm not sure who stood to benefit from the 6 kids reducing the noise, when they were just being normal kids playing hide and seek.
