"Just a few min walk from the center and right by the viewpoint. Nice big clean room, incredible views, safe area. Very helpful staff and the hotel manager goes out of his way to help (I needed a private taxi to go to bandipur and wanted a jeep as it had rained a lot - he organised it perfectly and at a good price). Breakfast is a bit average (like most places) but correct and filling. I would absolutely go back and recommend! "

"A charming period building with some really good features and unusual rooms! Prepare to get VERY cold and feel VERY damp during your stay, it’s really OVER priced, NO heaters available and staff offer a backpackers feel and not at all $100 feel, a fire was lit downstairs but it attracted all the staff to sit around it and some people from outside that left us not able to even see the fire....I had to ask them to move to get a little heat while we ate...not worth the money, but the building is...

"The room was adequate, there was only warmish water, not hot, but the staff were all friendly and helpful. The Nepali food in the restaurant was good and it is a pleasant setting. "We stayed at the Vivanta for three nights in April and loved it! The hotel is beautiful, clean and extremely comfortable but what we loved most was the staff. I don’t remember being treated better at any hotel. From check in to the wait staff, hostess, manager and even the chef, we were treated like family and taken care of so well that we hated to leave.
