The hotel was overall average. Breakfast was good as well as staff preparing breakfast. I reserved a room for 1 night, I booked through Expedia with a pay at the hotel deal. After booking I tried to pay ahead of time but was unable. 1 hour into our 8 hour car ride there, I decided to call and make sure the room was secure. I was informed my card would not run through and that i needed to pay or they would cancel my reservation. I had them attempt the card again and gave them my number to call me in case of any issues. 2 hours later my card was still not charged, I contacted them and was told they were unable to take payments from any cards from certain banks (chime, PayPal, cash app, etc). After scrambling around to figure out other payment and wasting 1-2 hrs of drive time, I was able to pay and secure my room. If I had known ahead of time this would have been easier—not to mention I was initially supposed to pay upon arrival and not one person on staff contacted me to inform me of any of this. I specifically picked a hotel with a hot tub-it was inoperable. Trash was overflowing in outside trash cans. Not enough towels in our room, empty shampoo bottle, etc. Many mild inconveniences that made the stay unpleasant. Will not book or stay here (or possibly any Hampton) again.
