We were on motorcycle and were able to park our bikes right out in front. Staff at front desk was absolutely wonderful. Hotel is in the heart of downtown near many restaurants and bars and lots of nightlife.

Was close to restaurants and shops, small parking lot, but right next door was more multiple businesses shared. What was not good, was the bathroom was out of hand soap. I used my own. Also had dirt, hopefully, on the side of tub, hard to not notice. And the bed sheets had stains. They were clean, but just replace them if stained already.

The property has some deferred maintenaince issues and some recent repairs done on the cheap. Lots of ceilings water damaged. Some 5 gallon buckets in our hallways to catch water leaking from pipes. Looked like mold in places. Room had newer furnishings of average quality. TV was newer, but on the smaller side. Loose tile floors in bathroom likey caused by the shower stall which has an insufficient ledge to keep water from escaping with just the curtain. The shower stall seemed as though it was meant for a sliding door, but the curtain was done on the cheap as were many drywall repairs throughout (terrible mudwork). Dual showerhead, but only one worked. We debated about using the pool and decided to give it a try. Our keys didn't work for leting us in and admins key took quite a few attempts (like someone didn't want us to actually use it). Pool area was dated and the floors looked a bit grungy. Decided not to take a chance as we couldn't smell the least bit of chlorine and hadn't seen anybody else use it while we were there. Has a nicer quality lobby with newer finish and a smaller hotel bar. The location is fantastic for enjoying LaCrosse's excellent nightlife.

This is actually the Holiday Inn - there is no sign calling it Taron B on the outside of the building. We stayed here on Friday night of Labor Day weekend. It was nice to walk the waterfront area and have dinner around the corner. Breakfast is not provided and the coffee shop across the street does not open until 10am. Nothing seemed to be open at 8.

Everywhere smelled like a locker room. There was someone else's hair all over the room. The plumbing fixture were loose. The coffee maker was broken. Nothing seemed clean.

We were treated differently because we booked through Expedia. The parking is only free from 6pm Friday night to 6 am Sunday morning. We arrived about 3:30 pm on Friday and were told the parking would cost about $8 and that he would have given us credit, but we booked through Expedia so he wouldn’t. When Sunday came, everyone else had check-out slips outside their doors except for us. When we checked out, we asked about it and she looked through a pile of slips and found ours then said in a rude tone, oh, you booked through Expedia. We’ll email you a slip. The hot tub was very dirty. No one came to tidy up the room on Saturday, Friday night was incredibly noisy with guests partying outside the hotel entrance and revving their motorcycles at 1:30 in the morning. The room itself was clean and comfortable, but we had booked a non-smoking room and when we walked in it wreaked of smoke. We will not stay there again.

Great location but that's about it. Our toilet seat had mold all over it. Our room had a lot of moisture in it so our bed felt damp. Our floor smelt terrible. We had 4 people on our reservation but only 3 towels on our room. Aged property. If the place gets a facelift, it'll be a great place to stay!
