Keramies, Chania hotel rooms at the Independent

"Gorgeous property in the tiny village of Kathiana just 5 minutes from Chania airport. Too nice to stay just one night before flight home next day. Very clean and very friendly staff. Beautifully designed and decorated suites. Left before breakfast served but the staff made sure we had tea and coffee to go. It should be noted that it is in the middle of nowhere but that is part of the charm. Ordered take out pizza that was excellent. Highly recommend especially before a flight out."

"Very nice hotel that is very close to both the Venetian port and the Ktel bus terminal. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We were able to store our luggage while we toured around before moving on to our next destination. Breakfast was included and there was a nice variety of foods, all very tasty."

"Only good things to say about this hotel; very friendly and helpful staff (especially Maria at front desk), big plus in the rooms (which we did not experience in the other 3 hotels of our vacation) were welcome sweets and raki, Nespresso machine, complimentary bottled water. Air conditioning worked well but need to be able to redirect vents so they're not blowing on you while in bed. Bed was very comfortable but pillows could be better. "Property is in the old town part of Chania, so lots of restaurants and bars nearby. The old town is also pedestrianised so you can wander with no fear of traffic. The apartment is modern with a usable kitchen and a comfortable King sized bed. The housekeeping is excellent with regular changes of sheets and towels. The only downsides are; the long flight of stairs up to the apartment, no lift, so lugging suitcases up and down is a bit of a pain and it is in a street full of restaurants and bars...

"I only spent 1 night in Diana but I really enjoyed my stay there. It’s only 2mins away from the central bus stop and it’s walkable distance from city centre. The lady owner is really friendly and the place is spotless and bed was comfortable. I liked that I had kettle in my room and some complementary coffee. Great place if you want like me to explore Chania for a bit and later on move somewhere else into different part of the island. Highly recommend!"
