less than expected for the top suite room
Not pleased. I stayed in the suite which was large with a nice view of beach, and had a jacuzzi tub. but could not use the jacuzzi because I had no hot water the 2 times i tried to fill tub. also had cold or luke warm water in shower. very small desk which was hard to use for the computer. no towel rack in bathroom. no place to lay out suite cases to empty except the bed (not close to any drawers) or floor. overall paid 3X as much as similar hotel near by and did not like it as much.

Excellent hotel by the beach
I stayed at the Nord Luxxor Tambaú for a full week for a conference. The accommodations were excellent. I found my room to be clean and comfortable. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. I got sick during my stay and they were responsive and kind. There were staff members that spoke English which also was helpful for me. The rooftop pool area was lovely. It has a beautiful view of the whole local coastline and extraordinary breezes from the ocean. I would recommend this hotel to family and friends and would come back if I visit João Pessoa again.

The best hotel in João Pessoa!
We stayed at the Nord Luxxor Tambaú for six nights and would highly recommend it to anyone staying in João Pessoa. Check-in was straightforward and easy and we were kindly accomated with an English speaking staff member as we have no Portuguese. Our room was fantastic - an air-conditioned oasis! It was very clean with a huge, comfortable bed and lovely bathroom. There is a hairdryer in the bathroom that works very well (you need a 2-pin adapter for 220v for the sockets to use your own appliances). The wardrobe in the room was quite small and bear in mind there is no kettle or tea/coffee making facilities in the bedroom (this seems standard practice in Brazil). There is room-service available, but we did not order anything. There is no iron in the bedroom but clothes can be laundered and pressed for a small fee. The WiFi is very good throughout the hotel, you login with details specific to your stay. By far and away we enjoyed the rooftop pool, which overlooks the beach, the most of all. We went every day (sometimes twice a day!) and were often the only people there (we stayed in early October). The hotel is restaurant is lovely and good value. Breakfast is a generous spread which rotates from one day to the next. The staff at breakfast and in the restaurant are particularly nice. Check-out was quick and easy and they kindly stored our bags for free for the day until we were leaving for the airport.

I liked this hotel, the staff is great, specially from restaurante for the breakfast. The room is good, silent, but the bed should be better, specially 1 instead of 2 "connected". People could not get 2 single beds and say that is a queen bed. My dinner was bad, but the breakfast is delicious. The local of the hotel is great too, in front of the beach and closer to good restaurants (but needs uber/taxi).

Hotel é bonito, ótima localização, e o café razoável poderia ser melhor. Em alguns momentos senti que avia preferia em atendimento, escolhia as pessoas a quem queria atender no café. O colchão é horrível, banheiro péssimo e quartos pequenos para acomodar 3 adultos e uma criança de 1 ano. Reclamos 2 vezes na recepção mas não deram a mínima importância. Para esse hotel não volto

Nos deram quarto adaptado para deficiente. Pedimos pra trocar. Até insistimos via e.mail , WhatsApp e na recepção e nem resposta nos deram. Alegaram lotação . Mas como com uma reserva feita e paga no início de janeiro , com comunicação avisando e confirmando a nossa chegada só havia reserva em quarto adaptado ? Total desinteresse e descuido com os hóspedes.

Atendimento da recepção excelente, pessoas prestativas e simpáticas. A comida do restaurante é ótima e o ambiente é muito agradável. O quarto é meio apertado e não tem lugar para pendurar biquíni molhado para secar. O serviço de limpeza deixou a desejar, mas nada grave. Ótima localização.
