"Great hotel in Monte Gordo, we had a fabulous stay in a wonderful town with amazing beach and very close to the Spanish border. Staff were grand, we had a very good buffet breakfast, main items to choose from. Very close to beach and shops. If needed there is a 2 1/2 mile walk to the border town of Vila Real de Santo Antonio along a straight road but the beach walk is glorious although twice the distance. Beach is just fantastic. "Nice place, basis breakfast, but enough to start your day off. Yoghurt, bread, jam and marmalade , cheese and ham. Tea Coffee and Orange juice. Swimming pool in the garden. Easy and free parking outside on the quiet road. Only close to one cafe bar restaurant. Suitable for drinks and snacks. Had to drive to find other places, but only 2 to 3 km."
