I have stayed in New York many times, and this by far was the best. We arrived at hotel early was hoping to be able to leave our luggage while we went walking around the city. Well not only was our room ready they upgraded our room to a suite. I did not find anything wrong with this hotel except the minibar. A 12oz can soda cost $13.28 that was insane. But that was my fault for not checking. But when I am in New York this is my home from now on.

We stayed here for two weeks, we found the location excellent for getting around NYC. There is a few coffee shops and a deli next door for snacks and drinks. Joey the receptionist was wonderful and a great guide, suggesting restaurants and cheaper places to purchase items. We stayed on the 9th floor so the noise of time square wasnt an issue for us. The hotel is old and doesn't have any extra facilities but we were here to see the city not the hotel so not an issue for us, we were comfortable and warm and that counted after a long day walking around the city.

"I really loved this retro hotel on top of the mountainside. I had the mysterious looking onsen all to myself several times around 9-10 pm and it was so cool. The view is amazing and the food was very good. Just know that you are really in the countryside and to get to Onomichi it is going to take ..."
