"In November 2023 my wife Samantha and I embarked on a 4 month tour of South America travelling through 5 different countries. We stayed in dozens of hostels, apartments, condominiums, guesthouses and quite simply the Aratinga Inn was the best place by far. Nothing is too much trouble for the fabulous host Rennie. "Pousada Costa Verde was a nice stay on Ilha Grande. It was very clean and well maintained (though this is because of very strict rules, so if you're intent is to party, this is not the spot for you). The manager is super nice and provides a lot of great advice based on your expectations of your trip. The pousada is off the beaten path and does not come with breakfast like other pousadas on the mainland do."
