Hatsukaichi, Hiroshima hotel rooms at the Independent

"All around excellent experience staying at Hotel Intergate. Rooms were clean and large (comparatively to other Japanese cities). Had an amenity bar at reception for you to take required supplies. Staff were very friendly and professional. Hotel conveniently located to subway/bus lines and walkable to restaurant and shopping areas. Area was quiet at night. Always felt safe in the area. Hotel was kind enough to hold our bags after checkout for a few hours. "

"Loved my stay at Nest, super trendy hotel, buses and trams at your door step. Right in the centre of town with shopping, eating and bars right there. The room was adorable loved the little touches, the only thing I didn’t like ( but must Japanese bathroom do this) a big step to enter the bathroom. The free breakfast pack was great to grab and go or there was plenty of communal sitting. Highly recommend, a short 5 mins tram or bus trip to Hiroshima Station. Staff fabulous and friendly."

"We were in need of urgent accommodation as the Shinkansen was suspended due to rain so we quickly booked one night at the Smile Hotel Hiroshima. I am so glad we did! Beautiful and large room with a lovely bathroom. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful and even rung our accommodation to inform them that we would be a day late. Totally took the stress out of the situation! I just wish we’d stayed at Smile Hotels throughout Japan as we now know how good they are! Area is very quiet but is so...
