Gulf of Mexico, hotel rooms at the Wyndham Hotels

"The property was lovely, beautiful beach area, great food, good service. The location is great, away from the craziness of the bars of Duval St. on the north end of the island, but a quick walk to go enjoy that nightlife. I was disappointed with the cleaning staff, it appeared that a trash bag ripped and spilled on one of the stairways (outside stairs) and there was trash, used sunblock containers, and dirty q-tips (someone had a serious wax issue) and nut shells. This happens occasionally, but the trash remained on the stairs for like 2 days. I reported it at the reception desk, but it was not dealt with for another day. It was still on the stairs when I checked out. I reported it again. They comped me some goodies. It wasn’t a big deal, but the trash and lack of cleaning it reflected poorly on the property. Room was great. Pools were amazing. Weather was better. Location was paradise. Service at bars and restaurants was tremendous. "

"Despite the recent hurricanes, the property was in good shape and the team working there was amazing in every interaction - from Mike at the front desk who went above and beyond, to the bartenders, servers, beach cabana setup team, to the cafe server, to housekeeping, everyone was friendly and made the stay all the more enjoyable. Our room was clean, bed comfy, decor is inviting, the pool was fun, amenities and entertainment were plentiful. "
