We had a great weekend at Honeyguide. Our guide, Devance, was knowledgeable and experienced and we had fantastic sightings. The food was good and we appreciated how dinner was a bit of an event which included calling people to table with a drum and the chef announcing the menu. As luck would have it we were allocated to a vehicle with a lovely young couple whose company we enjoyed very much. But please note that you end up sitting at the same table and going on drives with the same people for the duration of your stay - so you may end up spending your whole weekend with people whose company you do not enjoy.
The tented rooms were spacious and we enjoyed waking up to the morning light and being so close to nature. But - there is only a fan and it was HOT with no air-con. We were there in September - I don't think I would book to go there again in the summer months.
There was not a bar-fridge in the room but we did appreciate the endless supply of cold filtered water and the refillable metal bottles we were given at check-in. Very eco-friendly and cost effective too!
Overall I would recommend this experience to people who want to experience a value for money safari experience.
