"Hotel el Covento is very well located, close to all sorts of dining and shopping locales and next to the Cathedral. It's colonial architecture gives it a very special charm and the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. The restaurant food and waitresses are really good. The only mishap was the faulty elevator but overall I would definitely recommend it."

"We had communicated to the hotel on 2 separate occasions concerning our late arrival time which was to be about12:30 am. I was assured that someone would be there to check us in. Our taxi dropped us off on a very dark and deserted street and the door to the hotel was locked, we rang the doorbell and phoned several times but no response. "Very beautiful and lush boutique hotel. Open air concept for the majority of the grounds, bed was in an enclosed room with AC that kept it very cool for some relief if you get sun drained but large windows to still feel like you are outdoors. Romantic Suite had 2 showers and a large concrete soaking tub, while large and deep- it could use an amenity like a small bath pillow to give some comfort. No complaints whatsoever with our stay, I am not vegan but their kitchen made me reconsider becoming...
