When making the booking it NEVER mentioned that the only way to access your lodge is via a small rowing boat. I kid you not. "We really enjoyed the novelty of staying on a houseboat. There is a restaurant and swim area in the marina which we took advantage of. There is also a convenience store, but it wasn't open when we were there. The nearby town of Naarden is adorable. The houseboat is new and in great condition. It is exactly as see in the photos.
