There isn't much to do in Midland/Odessa. Almost everything closes at 9pm except bars. So, if you work late, don't expect much as far as options in food.

The town is definitely not a tourist destination. It is not a beautiful place, but there is a lot to do. The mall has an ice skating rink, there are many bowling allies, theaters, etc. Every store imaginable is there to accommodate the many people who live there. Be a defensive driver! We saw many accidents from people running red lights and driving too fast.
