Encinitas, California hotel rooms at the Independent

"I likes that there is a lot of shops and such in walking distance. I liked that we had an outdoor seating area as most hotels you cant even open a window. I didn't like that when i booked it it showed a tub and said it in the description but there was just a shower. I also noticed some of the bedding wasnt the cleanest and there was an open plastic wear pack from the previous people. Didnt give me the cleanest vibes. "

"Excellent stay. I got the king bed with kitchenette and it was great. Clean large size room, comfy bed and pillows, and everything you need to cook for yourself. Four large towels for the shower was great. You dont see that often. Covered parking. Multiple elevators and lots of parking makes it EZ to get in/out. Just be prepared to hear a train every 2 or so hours. Highly recommend for short or long term stays."

"Bed was squeaky, same room as 15 years ago, But I’ve been in other rooms and the experience I have here is the only place my husband & I like to stay at. The kitchens are perfectly stocked & we enjoy cooking instead of eating out. You can’t go wrong trying this place out. Cozy "

"We love coming here. We always get a room with a kitchen and it’s fully stocked with good quality kitchen wares. The beach is a like 5-10 minute walk and you can borrow beach chairs, towels, wagon, and sand toys. There’s plenty to keep us busy with the beach, pool, mini golf, gym, and arcade. There is construction going on around the property and we could hear the noise from it during the day but it wasn’t bad and it didn’t start too early. Parking is a breeze. And the price is great.
