"My family stayed 1 night at Alnes Gard during our trip to Norway. We stayed here as a base to see Alesund and so glad we did! This place is a lovely little gem and we had fun exploring the small island. We saw lovely rainbows, experienced a beautiful ocean sunset, and went on a great hike! Would highly recommend this place! "

A modern, sea-side gem in the city

"I think Thon hotels has the best breakfast. I am a vegetarian and there are so many healthy options. We also enjoyed the room; It was clean, spacious and the beds were comfortable. The front desk service was also stellar. Just note: if you have a car, you might look for parking in the street during off hours as it will be less costly. But even more worthy of note, the garage is quite small and so it is best to have a small vehicle to manage in and out. But that is a small price to pay compared to the overall experience. I should also note that the hotel is centrally located, thought it is difficult to not be since Alesund is walkable regardless of where one might stay in the "sentrum" area. "

Great place and helpful staff for fjord cruise

"Wonderful hotel and staff, the two restaurants were very good and we loved the place. "Loved the property! Our king room on a higher floor had an amazing view of the town and water. View was just as good from our window as it was from that steep hike you can do to overlook the town. Ceiling to floor windows. We left curtains open all night it was so pretty. Staff was great. Friendly and nice Only criticism is parking. Had to parallel park on the hilly streets and move the car by like 7am or pay a lot for hotel lot. But parking in Norway at hotels is expensive and rare"
