The room itself was spacious and comfortable. The bed was not, in fact, a super king but rather two single beds pushed together which were different heights, making the bed somewhat awkward to share.
The spa has limited facilities and disinterested staff who did not greet us, despite there being three of them on the desk, they simply informed us we needed to sign in after we had wandered around for a few minutes trying to get our bearings.
Ample parking on gravel areas dotted around the venue, however limited lighting and random outbuildings made the area seem less than desirable.
When the fire alarm activated at 23:30, no staff appeared to direct guests out of the building which could be understood in a larger hotel, however there were only two floors and at no point was a register taken to ensure guests were safely outside, no apology was issued for the late hour and neither was any reassurance given, simply one member of staff in a high vis jacket who appeared to tell a few guests it was safe to return to the building and this message was then dispersed amongst the other guests as there were no staff in sight.
In the morning, check out was extremely efficient, as I was simply asked my room number and neither asked for feedback on my stay, not wished a pleasant onward journey. Again, no apology provided for the disturbance the previous night.
Overall, very disappointed.
