Room needed a deep clean. Tired room. Bathroom clean and modern. Window needs repair. No lift. We climbed 4 flights up to our room.

There was no lift in the building and no mention of the absence of it anywhere in the advert. We were given a room on the third floor and it was very difficult to carry our luggage to the third floor

Splendid!
The place is splendid, really worth the money. Truly enjoyed the stay. We just struggled with wifi connectivity, but it would not change the fact that we had a lovely time in this place. Highly recommended.

Have to mark staff and service at 0 due to no welcoming or front desk. But others were great bathroom toilet had not been flushed and could see poop stain in toilet but easy fixable by flushing 4 stars and bedroom and tv and couch and kitchen 5 stars due to being big room and felt like home. Good hotel to stay in and will come again one day thank you

Stort rum med alla bekvämligheter! Tv,soffa, kylskåp, spis,micro, strykbräda. Vi bodde en trappa ner men kunde enkelt bära ner vår barnvagn. Badrummet däremot var ISKALLT. Det var ingen värme överhuvdtaget och man kunde inte gå barfota. Toaletten iskall och man ville inte vara där inte längre än nödvändigt så vi hoppade över att duscha ibland för det var för kallt. Vi hade också otur första natten då en galen man som skulle bo på hotellet bankade på alla entrédörrar och väckte oss hotellgäster. Kl 9 på morgonen.. Vår dotter vågade inte gå nära vår rumsdörr och så fort det lät så blev hon rädd. 😅

It was a beautiful room, great location for the price, but one night, we saw a mouse run into our room. It ran underneath our door from the foyer and then under the bed couch.

I had a lovely and comfortable short stay. Other than the room needing painting it was a lovely stay. Blackout blinds may be a good idea.

The room looked nothing like the photos.
Firstly, no front desk. No lift, our room was downstairs and had to carry our luggage down. The room looked nothing like the photos and the pillows are quite crappy. Didn’t sleep well cause it’s not comfortable. But the room did have a kitchen, so it’s nice to be able to cook during our trip if we like. The bathroom doesn’t have a shower curtain or door so the water keeps getting outside. Overall, will not be staying here again. Quite disappointed with the price and misguided photos.

We liked it a lot and would definitely come back here. Perfect location for a stay in Edinburgh. Great price!! Only annoying thing, the fire alarm went on pretty late in the night. We were already in bed. There was no one from the owners around and we and the other guests left the building and didn’t really know what to do. It took like half an hour until we could go back to the rooms. Was cold and a bit uncomfy. Everything else was great!

Winter Markets.
This was a short trip to visit the winter markets. The Grosvenor Suites are very handy for all the New Town shops, bars and restaurants. A short walk onto Princes Street and easy access to bus routes and Haymarket train ststion. As always the apartment was clean and warm with staff calling every day to check if i needed anything.

El alojamiento está en una zona residencial muy tranquila, además no está lejos del centro, a unos 15-20 minutos caminando. La cama es grande y muy cómoda, hay una mini-cocina bastante útil, la entrada es a tráves de un código , eso si, no hay ascensor y te puede tocar una habitación en la segunda o tercera planta

Disappointing and Misleading
This stay was quite disappointing and misleading. There was no notification that parking is metered (at £4.60 per hour, with a 4 hour limit) from 8:30 am to 6:30 pm, only that there is no on-site parking. Non-permit parking spaces are extremely limited and at the end of the street. Although the lobby area is nicely decorated and in good condition, there was no indication that there would be 76 stairs to climb to get to our room. This many stairs should be noted on the listing, not just a note that there are no lifts. I could understand maybe 20, but 76 is ridiculous. The room itself was misrepresented as having a sofa and dining table, which it had neither. The kitchen was basically a closet and not user-friendly. There is a hob with 2 burners tucked in the corner, making it difficult to cook. Only one pan at a time could be used. There were 2 barstools at the counter, but appliances had to be moved to use the space to eat. The microwave and counters needed to be cleaned before we could use them as there was leftover food crumbs and splatters. The bathroom was nice, but the door was very difficult to shut. The towel heater did not work. Some lights did not work in the main part of the room. The bed was comfortable and there was a nice iron and ironing board. I attempted to contact the office to discuss issues, but there was no answer during working hours. I was able to contact the emergency number, but the man was not much help (although nice

No lift in the building - climbing to the top floor with heavy luggage was hard. No air con and windows only open slightly. We stayed during a heatwave and the room was stinking hot. I know the weather in Scotland is usually cool, but for summer aircon should be working. We confirmed a late 12pm checkout, and had to go to the sister property to leave our bags there for the day because there is no reception desk at this property. Once we checked out, we did a few things and headed there closer to 1pm. When we got to reception the first thing the girl said was that’s a really late check out? I said we confirmed a late 12 pm check out and she replied ye but it’s 1pm! I then told her we checked out at 12 and she repeated ye but it’s 1pm. She said it as though I can’t read the time or that I was lying. I then had to explain to her that we checked out at 12, we did a few things and then went to drop our bags. I had to tell her that housekeeping was there at 11:50 and she can check with them before she dropped the subject. Regardless it was none of her business what we were up to in the time after we checked out. If it’s such an issue for them to believe what time guests checked out maybe they should employ some checkout police at that property. It was unnecessary and rude and we made to feel like we were lying and had done something wrong when in fact we had done nothing wrong. Definitely will never stay there again because of the way she made us feel.

Spent the weekend in room 16 .. 74 steps to climb to get to room which was not expected but hey ho here we go lol .. beautiful looking house inside and out .. apart from they still have Christmas decorations up at the doorway ..but overall it was ok and comfortable enough .. but overpriced compared to others
