"The hotel is in a need for renovation. The bathrooms are way too old. We visited the hotel also about 7 years ago and it’s aging quickly. It’s conveniently located within a walking distance to the grounds of Australian Open tennis tournament (the reason for our staying there), but for the next visit to Melbourne we will select a different hotel."

"An oasis at the end of busy days. The suite was so comfortable and spacious and the team extremely helpful and welcoming throughout. Breakfast was great too. If we return to Melbourne, The Royce will definitely be our go-to"

"Nice peaceful environment "

"We had a nice stay at Balgownie. We were treated to a complementary wine tasting, the grounds were very nice, the breakfast was excellent and the room (admittedly, we chose the “standard” room) was adequate. The gym was untidy, the AC didn’t work in the gym (nor did the Wi-Fi) and it’s a small gym/pool area. It’s a nice location for exploring the area."
