“When I arrived to book in at the Guest House I was informed that the Police had booked the Guest House. I tried to explain to the police that I had a confirmation that I was booked in. When I tried to go to the reception I was called back and told there was nobody there. Bottom line this is pathetic service and anybody who would like to use the facitlities should think at least five times. I do not recommend this place at all.”

“It was all well from our first night stay ,not until the early mornings of Sunday morning around 04am we were awake up by the strange and aggressive banging on our room door and trying forcefully to open our door. “We had an overnight layover at OR Tambo, and spent the night at Travetel OR Tambo Airport Hotel. The hotel had everything we needed for a short stay. It is close to the airport and offers transport to and from OR Tambo (although the max capacity in their transport is 3 people!) The rooms were clean and spacious, the breakfast was good, and the service was great. If we had more time we would have made use of the pool and spa services offered.”

“Such a strange place. It is trying so hard to be amazing but falls short in many ways. A few examples: The staff enter the rooms almost every time you exit them. Even if just for a quick breakfast. This ruins any feeling of privacy. The place is located very close to the end of the runway at Johannesburg airport. This means that there is so much noice from planes landing and taking off! Within the walls it is like an oasis, but the surroundings are industrial and ugly. ”

“The room was clean and the view from the window was nice. The air conditioner was noisy comparing to other airport hotels, so it was uncomfortable to sleep. The staff was friendly, but the response from the reception and facilities management was insufficient. "I have often traveled to South Africa on business and stayed at many hotels, but I have never found a place where the staff were as friendly as this one. The hotel grounds were large and it was nice to take a walk. The downside was that the bathroom door was the wrong size so it didn't close completely, and the shuttle service ran every hour, so the waiting time was longer than other hotels."
