I've stayed at a quite a few hotels in the US and Korea and I was very pleasantly surprised when I walked into my room here. Pictures on booking sites are usually much better than what you really get. That wasn't true here. The room layout was fantastic, very open and clean feeling. The bathroom and shower area was great (waterfall shower and bidet toilet) and in a separate room was the very large spa tub (big enough for two). The terrace had a bench table and a two seat wood rocking swing which was relaxing to sit in at night when the temperatures cooled off a bit. The bed was comfortable and the pillows were nice. One little detail that impressed me was not only did they have a 60 inch TV, but it was a name brand instead of the off brand/cheap ones I usually see.
The provided breakfast is simple... toast and jam, boiled eggs, cereal, a bit of fruit and an automatic coffee machine. Nothing outstanding, but good enough and everything else was so good that the breakfast was more like a bonus. The area is a little out from the "downtown" area of Daegu, so there aren't a lot of restaurants or anything in the area, which some may consider a downside. On the other hand the area was very quiet and the terrace view was better than if you were right in the city.
I can honestly say this was one of the best hotels I've stayed in, and it has a reasonable price as well. I'm already planning another trip to Daegu and this is where I'll be staying when I return!
