"Expedia description of house is misleading. We expected the entire house, as per description but when we arrived there was already someone in the house and were informed we only booked the basement. How does the entire house become just a smelly basement apartment. And the upstairs renters had the master code to the basement and let us in as our pass code didn't work. We felt unsafe. "Never made it to the stay. Booked/paid in advance via Expedia. According to the checkin directions the property is supposed to send instructions via email 24 hours in advance, that never happened after repeated requests. We contacted Expedia they attempted to get a hold of the proper owner and couldn’t. "The property is a sub basement of a house. The entrance is through the garage and it’s tiny. Difficult to get thru the doors to the basement. The place is minimally furnished. It is located at the far north end of Richmond Hill away from commercial activities. I would not rent this place again. Owner is quick to respond to requests. "

"Desk staff was amazing. Rooms were immaculately clean and all decor was excellent. Food and service at the cafe was excellent. Only downside is no parking affiliates with the hotel available had to use city parking garage underground but next door. "
