"Our room had the best sea view & the sound of the waves was so relaxing. As we were staying late in the season the repair & building work had started but this caused no disturbance or noise. The staff were amazing, the room was great with a powerful & spacious shower. Can't wait to stay again. "

"Had been a bit concerned initially with choosing to stay here in light of the disappointing reviews it had but choose it because of the pool facilities as we wanted to be able to come back after a day out sightseeing and chill in a sea water pool . We would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel the pool facilities are fantastic 👏👏👏Stefano was excellent and like the reception staff very attentive . The rooms were clean maybe they have seen better days but the beds were comfortable...

"This place is an amazing find and great value for what it has to offer. As part of LHP the appartment was done following the same look and ammenities of the 5 stars LHP Santa Margherita Palace Hotel (where I stayed last year and reviewed it with a 5 star rating). Clean, comfortable, with 2 full bathrooms and 2 bedrooms it is a lot more spacious than any hotel room if you don't mind not having every day service (I didn't). The large balcony offers spectacular views !"

3rd stay - always a pleasure

"Feb 2023, 2024, 2025 we stayed for a couple nights at the Excelsior Palace and every time has been a great experience. Rooms are lovely, very comfortable, great amenities (we've been in 3 classifications: all were great). The breakfast buffet is wonderful: lots of choice including made to order items. The view from the dining room is gorgeous. The location is spectacular with views over the Med, infinity pools that hang out over the sea are wonderful - warm & there are both pool-side and indoor showers, changing rooms, a gym, etc.. LOVE that it's 10 minute walk into the heart of Rapallo 10 minute walk to beach restos in San Michele 25-30 min walk to Santa Margherita Bus stops at the foot of the hotel which runs from Santa Margherita train station to the Rapallo train station so if you overdo it, easy to hop on! "
