I have been in contact with Best western and the property's GM, When you get your room key check EVERYTHING, for safety and to make sure everything works. I found aluminum foil covering the smoke detector, the A/C/ not only was blowing hot hair but also frigid air when the temp out side was 14F, so I could not get the room comfortable. The refrigerators temperature control knob was broken off and not cool, I had to throw away my food in the fridge that was about $25 down the drain. The room had a musky smell to it that lingered, ( most do but figured since I am putting everything else in here I will add). I had the shower running for over 5 minutes truing to get it hot but then realized that I had to turn the handle to the cold side to get it hot, and noticed they have one of signs in the bathroom that talks about saving water and using only one towl...so though that was ironic. The most disturbing thing I found was a large urine stain on the mattress cover when I stripped the bed the next morning. that was unsettling..... I hope it was just urine.... but probably not.... so glad I showered in the morning. This is why you should ALWAYS check EVERYTHING before settling in.... This is the first time I did not do that and I will not make that mistake again... Now I know everything above is all negative, but if you're still with me I would like to point out that the staff was extremely friendly. and accommodating, perfect customer service!! Kudos! ran out of room here
