Bangkok Old Town, Bangkok hotel rooms at the Ascott

"Excellent place to stay. With two pools to choose from or massage and lots of shopping during the day this was excellent. Some parts of the building might show the age of hotel but it’s well maintained. The food options around the hotel are limited in the evening. Though the pool side bar has some pretty good dishes though the bar prices are more expensive then what we where expecting. "

"I stay at this hotel every time I transition through Bangkok it has a shuttle service they charge ฿100 but it is available 24 hours. I arrived at 3 AM and they took less than 10 minutes to pick me up."

"Definitely very close to airport, but not as close as the map would suggest. It’s about 20 minutes by foot and about 15-20 minutes by taxi/grab. That’s not the hotel’s fault. The airport streets have a weird layout. Also, they require a CASH only deposit, which was weird and inconvenient bc we didn’t have cash yet. Also, upon checkout, they need to inspect your room before they will return the deposit. Otherwise, rooms were exceptionally clean and modern, staff was very helpful including bellboys who brought our luggage to room, etc."
