"Stayed in an economy single. Not much space, dated, but sufficiently clean, bed was comfortable, hot water worked well. I would put it on par with a private room at a hostel. Not much in the immediate area, but also not that far from a lot of stuff. There’s a little shop almost directly across the street for snacks and water, guy was fair, not trying to scam you (about 10 EGP for a 1.5L water). I walked from the train station, and then to all the major tourist sites. "

"A nice hotel in a great location near restaurants, cafes, and across from the sea. The hotel is packed with Egyptians on vacation which is a good sign. Breakfast was plentiful and varied. Hotel is large with multiple restaurants, we tried the Lebanese and it was good. Our room was average eventhough we paid for Deluxe. We had great room cleaning crew, Muemin and Khamees. "This hotel should close up and not do any business. Staff were cool but the place was miserable air conditioning sucks, room dirty, slide door grease, windows faded from dirt and last thing is the food was horrible and obviously it was preheated don’t try it. "

"Beautiful historic hotel in a convenient location. Rooftop restaurant was very good. The staff was extremely attentive. Unfortunately the heat in our room did not function. They tried to fix it three times to no avail. We were okay with an extra blanket at this time of year, but it was chilly. Also, the hot water was just barely above warm, not hot enough. As the building is over 100 years old this is not entirely surprising, and the French colonial style decor was lovely. "
