"We have just left the Istio Club hotel, we spent a week there and loved it! Beautiful hotel, food, staff, rooms. Super clean the grounds are well maintained. Staff working are great, they are chatty polite and happy to assist with anything. We had a double room which had a partial sea view, there was some building work near by but did not effect us in any way. Food was excellent and fresh and plentiful. "This resort is secluded, surrounded by pine forest- air is fresh and there is a beautiful hiking area closeby. Beach is sandy, and mostly clean. Food was excellent- variety and quality. Rooms were clean but outdated furniture- we didn’t mind. Fitness centre didn’t have free weights, and was opening at 10am- which was too late for me. All in all, would return!"

However, service is difficult to find- nobody comes to the loungers or to the table at dinner to ask for drinks- and the buffet food was repetitive and had a poor selection. That said, the paid-for food offered at the pool was excellent quality, especially the pizza and gyros. "The hotel is very old and needs a complete renovation in order to have that 5-star rating! Nowhere in the description of the hotel you can find that the hotel does NOT posses a sandy beach with umbrellas!! Instead you use shadows of the olive trees, which might sound good but it does not give a feeling of being on the seaside at all!"
