That is not my opinion-the desk clerk escorted us to the grocery and back, made sure our Uber was in front before we left the lobby, etc. The area is not rundown. "Mold around the bathtub, cockroaches, spiders and moths in room, main TV did not work, missing light bulbs/various different light bulbs, asked them to change and also install where missing. Pool was dirty, debris in pool and a chair, mattress was very hard and uncomfortable, the safe did not work, offered us a free breakfast due to the cockroach issue. Staff was the only good thing. Definitely needs refurbishing."

"This is an excellent hotel. It is exceptionally clean with very well appointed rooms. There are nice linens on the bed .The bathrooms are nice and new. There is a large separate shower and large jacuzzi tub. Chairs and chaise lounge are comfortable with cushions for the deck chairs. The water view is worth the money as it is a beautiful view. The pool area is really nice with plenty of comfortable seating for the size of the hotel. There is a restaurant whose kitchen is open to the dining area...
