Ulaanbaatar 3 Stars Hotels

"The hotel looks nice from the outside, but the inside is a different story. The furnishings were in need of repairs and or replacement. The sheets had stains and rips in them. The cups had crud in them. The bath tub plug didn't work. There was hair in the tub. There was hair on the bath towel. "Ever check in to a place and say, "Oh well, it's only for a few nights?" RIght across from the train station. ALL NIGHT LONG the trains blow their horns - they don't do that during the day, but ALL NIGHT LONG they do. I stayed 4 nights. Did not (could not) sleep the 1st or 4th night. Slept about 3 hours the 3rd night. They hired an outstanding photographer for the room shots. It's awful. The hotel is near NOTHING, and is not in a neighborhood where you would want your...

"Rooms smelled like smoke, bathroom was not clean - one of our rooms had a broken faucet and leaky toilet. Checking in was weird, staff didn't give me a key or tell me the room number just the floor and when I got there another staff told a local man what room, no wifi code etc. Later on I went back to the front desk the staff was helpful though. But since there was a holiday the restaurant incl. room service was unavailable with little eating options nearby."

"A hotel that was built in a fairly grand style but is now a little tired and run down. However, it is clean, the WiFi was good and the bed was comfortable. It was located out of the centre a bit but only about 5 minutes from where I worked at the shangri la and about 10 minutes walk to the main square"

"A very nice option to stay in Ulanbataar and probably one of the best 3-star hotels I ever stayed in. Clean, very nice rooms, nice gym. Breakfasts were very repetitive, but good for a 3-star hotel. The only problem with this hotel (and not really the hotel's fault) is its location. Due to the very heavy traffic in the city it takes a long time to reach the center of the city and there's not much to do in the vicinity of the hotel. "
