“The hotel was good. The rooms had nice furniture and they were clean. The location was spot on for what we needed. Could walk into the city along the river. Bar is a typical old pub with fantastic features. Beer garden was really nice. Think the hotel is going through some updating and it’s needed but would stay again for sure ”

“Stayed for my husbands 30th. They made a cake our of towels for him and we got a box of chocolates in our room. Great for going into York and other places around it. Nice and quiet, really comfy beds. ”

“The Room we very spacious even with 3 beds and very clean. Plenty of car parking right next to the room. We had a great home-cooked meal in the restaurant and an excellent breakfast each morning. All of the staff we met were very friendly and happy to suggest places to visit. The Motel is well situated for visits to York and surrounding areas and there is an easy to find Park&Ride into York”

“We had a comfortable stay at this property for 4 nights. The location is quite convenient and walkable from the railway station. There are several fast food joints in walkable distance. The owners and staff were welcoming and friendly. The breakfast was reasonably good with a decent spread. While we noticed that most of the rooms were quite well maintained, the furnishings in the family room where we stayed were slightly old and run down, so taking one star off the overall rating.
