"We very rarely pay and upcharge for a room with a view since we generally just use our hotel room for sleeping. We are so glad we paid for a view. Our room looked out onto Lake Como with the Alps as a backdrop. Spectacular. The hotel is a short 10 minute drive down the hills to Bellagio. If you don't have a car they have a shuttle van that will take you back and forth. The rooms are very comfy and since we visited in February, the heated tile floors were a welcome amenity. "Although the rooms are fairly small, they are comfortable. The noise from the street is very loud and persistent all night long so wear ear plugs if you get a room streetside. The breakfast was lovely with excellent cappuccino & espresso and a nice selection of meats and pastries. It is very close to the San Giovanni train station which is a plus. The staff was super friendly and helpful."
