"Stopped over for one night. Had a very nice curry in the evening and good full English breakfast. Room was clean and tidy and shower very good."

"Receptionist was very helpful I liked the more relaxed eating arrangements and food was good and hot and a good selection. Although i did not need it, the bathroom in assistance room would be better with a walk in shower. Great to have a bath. Plenty of room for both"

"Found by chance as needed somewhere to stay after visiting a Christmas Lights event. Under new management 3 weeks ago and undergoing refurbishment. The bar and restaurant gave been revamped and a cozy atmosphere and good food. The rooms are a little tired but a work in progress and have a lot of potential. The bed was comfy and the room was adequate for our stay. The breakfast was delicious abd a good choice on the menu Friendly and helpful staff and will definitely go back."

"The room was quite spacious though a bit shabby. There was no one at reception at first but i didnt have to wait long, she was very helpful. Even though there was live music in the bar it didnt disturb me. It was fine for the one night i stayed there."

"Lovely place, **very** friendly and professional staff and spotless rooms. The restaurant staff were top-notch, and on the night the food was excellent. I have not stopped talking to my friends about the chicken liver pate I had, that was superb. Breakfast was also extremely well cooked and presented, and to top it all up, the prices were reasonable. The free pool/spa/gym was the icing on the cake. My wife and I would certainly recommend it, and we will happily visit again. "

"I stayed for 2 nights whilst working in the area and despite some terrible reviews, I found it to be more than reasonable, with good access to local amenities, parking was great on site and I was able to use it for the 3 days of work, and it was clean too. Staff were friendly and helpful, the coffees from the bar were also decent, and it was quiet at night too.
