Northern Kyoto 3 Stars Hotels

"The location is quite good, mins walk to subway and bus stops. There is lawson beside the hotel and other convenience shops. Opposite is a Welcia mart and few restaurants around. Going to nikishi market is around 15mins walk. Like other commenters, you can smell some cigarette at the lobby although no one is smoking. Its ok for me since I dont really stay at the lobby for long. Room is clean and spacious. You get tour own toiletries at lobby and they offer wide ranges of things there to use"

"Really love this hotel, very near shopping and dining, everyday we are walking around nishiki market, got to pet owls and pigs. Hotel is clean and cozy as well. When i come back to kyoto i will stay here again"

"The property itself wasn’t bad. The area was a bit of walk though. Maybe about 8-10 from the train station. We tried to pay for breakfast with about 30-45 minutes left and were turned away which was odd.. "

"The raised platform upon which the futon-like beds rest is a trip hazard. I myself sleep on a futon, so I am used to that, but these were mattresses, about twelve inches above the platform. Getting up, with feet already on the floor, was an effort. I learned I had to rise in the same fashion as with a futon. I had to turn around, knees on mattress, feet off to rise. It took some learnin’."

"Located very close to the train station and various bus routes. Easy check-in and check-out process. Room was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. For us we were spending most of our time out in town so the small room was perfectly fine to sleep and store our belongings for a few days."
