"Terrible conditions in the room. There were bugs, old towels and torn bed sheets. Did not have adequate hot water. Faucet controls were falling off. One of two air conditioners was not working. Pool was not usable, the water was cloudy. This property should be delisted from hotels.com. "

"The staff were all very helpful, and we felt very welcome. They organise a safari trip and went out of their way to help. Breakfast was amazing The hotel was undergoing some minor restoration but this did not interfere with our stay."

They also organised a couple of trips for us - to Polonnarua and an elephant safari. "Loved our stay at Eden Garden whilst visiting the cultural triangle. Room clean, comfortable and spacious. All of the staff were excellent. Helped us organise trips in the area (Polonnaruwa, Sigiriya and Eco-park safari) as well as onward transport to our next destination. Sri Lankan breakfast and dinner was served with a smile and tasted amazing. Highly recommend rice and curry (various choices), served with different vegetable side dishes and sambal. We didnt feel the need to dine anywhere...
