Caribbean Coast 3 Stars Hotels

"Umami is a gorgeous garden hotel! We loved our suites. The decor is just stunning. The staff is courteous and kind. Breakfast tasted amazing! We loved the rice and beans. The parking is minimal. However using bikes, a tuk tuk, or walking is the best way to get around this jungle beach town. Bring earplugs because the birds and other lodgings in the area may wake you up. As a Jamaican, I loved our culture mixed in. We loved Old Habour aka Puerto Viejo! We will definitely go back and stay at Umami...

"Overall hotel is comfortable, steps from the beach, convenient to shopping & dining. Front desk check in experience not good at all. Waited over an hour for room to be ready. Told previous guest had a late check-out and would let us know when ready. Waited in restaurant within view of desk repeatedly checking . More than an hour later checked again. There had been a change of staff and previous person did not inform the next staff person we were waiting, who then rushed through room and...

"A really lovely resort with access to both the Tortuguero canal and the Caribbean beach. Great pool, good food, attractive unique rooms. Friendly and attentive staff and excellent communication throughout the booking and stay. Would definitely return. "

"We loved our stay at Conga! The room was clean and staff were really knowledgeable about the area and activities, helpful, and kind. Easily walkable to the main area of Puerto Viejo and Playa Cocles on the other side. Would definitely recommend!"

"Rustic glamping comes to mind! Cabins can get hot as there is no AC. But you are in the middle of the park and the birds wake you up with loud chirping at 5am!"

"Beach front. This hotel is a paradise! Rooms Kitchen and living room. Staff was súper nice! They have 2 stations with cold filtered water. You can walk 8Km through the beach to the right and 3km to the left. 2 restaurants in the complex."

"We loved having the beach and good dining very close. The grounds are beautiful and we saw howler monkeys, common black hawks and sloth right on the property. Playa Cocles is across the street with some major waves! Our apartment had a kitchen which was very convenient. It is close to the street and adjacent property, so not quiet. The only inprovements we would like are a replaced shower head and mitigation of the sewage smell (brief) near the stairs."
