"The opportunity to stay in a villa surrounded by tea fields was too hard to miss out on. We arrived from Badula on the train and were welcomed by the staff at the house. "The Grand Argyle Resort & Villas was a beautiful location. Our room was very clean and spacious. The food was excellent and the staff were extremely kind and accommodating. "We stayed here 2 nights. 1.5 stars is more realistic. At $70usd per night it is overpriced like most properties in Nuwara. We had problems with no tv channels (second night same problem but then a new sky box was put in and we had tv, why wasn't this done the first night?),leaking roof in bath area, room safe didn't work, curtain had a foul smell coming from it and the whole place felt grungy. The breakfast was mediocre at best. Do yourself a favour and pay extra to stay in one of the nicer...
