“Great location. The bed was rather hard and we didn’t get much sleep as we could not get comfortable. It didn’t do my back any good. Bedroom and bathroom spotless, no complaints. I think they need more staff as when we checked in and out no one was on reception. I had to go and find them in the kitchen. It was the same at breakfast. “Rooms were very clean and adequate. Rooms warm during a cold January stay. Cooked breakfast was great. Hostess Caroline was a delight. Flat 10 minute walk to city gate (see photo). So no need to park closer unless you have a walking disability. Very desirable location. The only thing that would have made it better was to let customers know in advance that parking is £12.50 @ night. No nearby free parking in sight. Don’t hesitate to stay here. ”

“The single room was comfortable, clean and pleasant. It had tea making facilities, a hair drier and iron. The en suite was of a good size and private. The only draw back was the shower - it had little water pressure and the shower hose was a poor fit. I had a key to a separate entrance which gave me freedom to avoid the bar and flexibility to come and go.”

“요크 기차역에서 다소 거리가 있어 버스를 타고 가야 하는 불편함은 있었으나 요크 민스터까지 약 10분 도보로 닿을 수 있어 괜찮았음. 영국의 여느 가정집에서 머무르는 느낌이 들었으며 방과 욕실이 별도로 있었으나 그다지 불편하지는 않았음. 맨 윗층 트리플 룸에서 1박을 하였으며 매우안락하게 잘 쉬었음. 아침식사는 영국식 조식으로 거의 가정식으로 정성껏 준비된 음식으로 정말 만족스러웠음. 특히 호텔 안주인의 환대와 서비스가 좋았음.”

“Stayed here just for the night for work and what a lovely cosy place! The host had left me a breakfast bag & in the room there was plenty of Yorkshire Tea, biscuits and treats. The bed was comfortable and the shower was hot too! Felt very welcome, would definitely recommend it. ”

“One night stay en route to Whitby 2 rooms booked. We were greeted with a friendly welcome and shown to our rooms. Rooms were very spacious and clean and had all we required. We went down to the bar for food and drinks the food was very good and enjoyed by the three of us. We enjoyed the evening with the locals and our host who made us all feel very welcome. “Everything was perfect for us , not far to walk to sea front / high street shops , we didn’t have the breakfast at the property as not always early risers , we would definitely stay here again , a lot of places in Scarborough don’t have their own parking or if they do there’s extra charge and with hubby having mobility scooter the parking was essential for us .A big Thankyou to the lovely hosts , keep on doing what your doing , fantastic 👏”
