“Like: Everybody was so friendly and welcoming, there was a nice pub area with billards and darts..and a fun triva and bingo night..and quick maintenance done on my bathroom light Not Like: i hurt my ankle a few days prior, and i wish there was a taxi service available to take me to the train station a mile away with all my luggage ”

“Perfectly situated in the town centre, this hotel is right next door to the abbey and it's always a delight to stay here. Clean, friendly and comfortable, the rooms are ideal and reflect all the same qualities you will find downstairs. Several areas to sit and enjoy good prices and lots of choices from the bar, there is also an adjoining area for watching sports on large screens and at least one pool table. This area is, in case you may be put off, neither rowdy nor in any way disturbs the main...

“We originally had a deluxe double however on check in realised it didn't have a shower, was a bit misleading on the hotel pages as it says 'bath or shower' so could have been a bit clearer. However we spoke to the staff and they swapped our room so it turned out fine :) The hotel is in a lovely location, very short walk to the centre so nice and peaceful”

“Breakfast was really good. Kimberley was very helpful and informative. Quick walk to town and lot of restaurants. Parking is there although a bit tight. Bed is super comfy. Shower is small so suck it in and make sure your shoulders aren’t very broad.”

“Absolutely loved our stay at the Burton Stone! Inn was very walkable from both the York station and the town centre (10 minutes respectively in each direction). While the check in process was a little confusing Michael, the inn keeper, was super helpful and even gave us some recommendations on food and things to do in the area! Not only would we stay at the Burton Stone again should we return to York, we would also recommend this accommodation to any who are also visiting! ”
