“Lovely place to stay staff and food were excellent ”

“The staff were brilliant, right from Check in to departure, they couldnt do enough for you. Rooms were lovely and clean, food in the evening was superb also as well as breakfast.”

“Our stay at the New Inn 1730 was only overnight, and we arrived around 6pm on a Sunday evening. This is a welcoming & friendly pub, with restaurant and accommodation. The owner did his best to accommodate our needs during our short stay, and is still finding his feet a little having only recently taken on the business. Food options were limited when we arrived, particularly for our two fussy children, so we did eat elsewhere that night, but the cooked breakfast in the morning was very good,...

“We travel to appleby castle as often as possibly we luv the company of sally and her staff. It will be a shame for the castle to be sold its so relaxing and the staff are down to earth which is what we like as a group. ”

“Stayed for one night. Room was large, comfortable and very clean. In fitting with the quirky pub, very oldy worldly.”

“Clean and good facilities. We didn't see another person for the whole stay! It would have been helpful to have had instructions for the appliances and the heating! We could not find a way to turn it up beyond 17° so the lounge was quite cold! It would also have been helpful if the car park was a bit closer ( on the days it poured with rain). I would still recommend it as a good place to stay, as long as you don't mind washing up.”

“A very clean and comfortable place. The rooms were very nice and the beds quite comfortable. The bathrooms were up to date and there was plenty of hot water. The pub next door was very hand for a drink and breakfast in the morning. Very friendly staff. ”

“Staff were really lovely and helpful. Room was very clean and quiet, and the hotel was perfectly situated in the centre of Hexham. The only issues were the very few parking spaces available, and the fact we could only park for up to 2hrs with a permit during the day, if there wasn’t any space in the tiny car park. But we loved the hotel itself and would recommend. ”
