“Lovely little place to stay near longleat zoo , will advise to stay at the side of the pub as they have a garage on other side of the road , very bright lights and they come through the blinds. otherwise all good breakfast was good ”

“From the moment we entered Friendliness was the Name of the Game! Tasha showed us to our room and told us everything we needed to know. The room was nice, large, well renovated, bed was very comfortable. We went to eat in the dining room for our evening meal which was delicious. I had the Hanger Steak which was cooked to perfection, my husband had fish and chips which was great too. Breakfast was included and what a choice we had. “Easy place to find and excellent parking area, Pub was very themed as yuo would expect with the name and associated furnishings all creating a warm and friendly atmosphere. The owners son was running the pub and provided the best level of service I've encountered for a considerable time. the food was probably the highlight with a good diverse choice and without doubt the best value I've ever had. Superb choice of places to stay, although the rooms could do with an update.”

“All of the above plus convenient parking. Lovely pub garden and also seating space by the river opposite the front. Lovely village. Felt the worn mattress should be replaced. A weird dip in the floor and some plusher carpet. A bigger TV would make viewing from the bed easier. Nice bathroom that looks recent.”
