“Beautiful view from rooftop (4th floor) pool and from restaurant / lobby area (2nd floor). Only rooms on 3rd floor have sea view. Those on 1st floor and ground floor can only see garden. Nothing around the property so need transport if don't want to eat in hotel. Reasonable quality food in restaurant for dinner and breakfast, but nothing special.”

“D Canal was the highlight of our hotel stays in Sri Lanka. The decoration at the hotel was beautiful and unique. The chef made his own Mango, papaya and lime jam which was to die for. It was definitely the tastiest breakfast we had during our trip. The pool was very relaxing and the staff couldn’t do enough to make your stay enjoyable. There is a free tuk, tuk to and from the property from 10am to 7pm which was very generous. I wish we had stayed longer and will definitely be returning. ”

“Isolée au fond d une toute petite impasse cette guesthouse est protégée des bruits de la rue. Accueil souriante de la gérante un bébé dans les bras qui pleurera toute la nuit événement isolé évidemment. Première nuit dans la chambre du RdC sans fenêtre ou il a fallu réclamer la clim pourtant comprise dans ma réservation, plutôt bruyante donc. Deuxième nuit a l étage dans un petite chambre avec balcon plus calme, mais sans rideaux occultants. J ai un gros doute sur le fait que les draps aient été...

“Room was small and dark, described as a one bedroom but it was a studio. Common areas were nicely decorated. Restaurant was good and breakfast was included and had lots of options. Hotel did not advise they did not accept credit and then staff became annoyed when we took too long to find a bank machine. Probably better suited for single people and couples rather than families.”

“The best place to stay. This is boutique accommodation on a quiet street, a short drive to the main attractions. I loved being surrounded by nature in the pool, seeing beautiful birds and monkeys in the trees, bats and fireflies at night. Staying here was the highlight of our time in Galle. The rooms are large, very clean, with comfortable beds. Our host made us the most superb breakfast each morning. “Familjärt och fint mottagande av ägarna. De gillar verkligen att ta hand om och serva sina gäster. Hörde av sig både före och efter vistelsen. Gav bra tips på restauranger. Hjälpte till att fixa med tuktuk. Bra läge, lugnt och stilla men inte långt till centrum. Tryggt med natt portier. Toppbetyg!!”
