“ Breakfast excellent. Staff friendly and helpful. Room was very nice. Didn't use the bar. Great views across Cardiff.”

“The rooms are lovely & clean. Was in room 47 very large king size room with bath tub bathroom. Slept very well, despite noise at 6:30ish am from noisy neighbours. The are the staff are friendly and fantastic can’t do enough to help you. Downsides they do not serve breakfasts (which I think would be amazing if they did) and the hotel used to have a pool but they no longer has it as was filled in and turned into a gym. Easy access to Barry town and Barry island. Car park is small and on a slope...

“Family run pub/ hotel which is a hidden treasure hidden in the country side, 10 mins from airport!! So glad we found it! Met the owner and family they were so so lovely and big thanks to their son who opened breakfast early on a Sunday for us catch our plane. 100% will be back and recommend to others. 👍”

“Rooms are quite spacious. Staff very helpful. Had an issue with room which was immediately looked into. When it was clear resolution would not be achieved, we were immediately offered a new room. ”

“Had a lovely stay at the vale resort on 28 march. Made use of the spa and had a 2 hour walk around the grounds,lake and castle after a lovely breakfast . Well recommended for a break away”

“Overall good, couple of niggles. It's located by a motorway and it is noisy as the windows dont shut properly. The breakfast was great apart from the bacon, which they cook folded in half so one side is crispy and one side is soft.”
